Citizenship at its Grassroots - European and Polish Perspectives

Descrizione

Hi there Citizens of this Continent!

It’s time for thematics. It’s time to awake the citizen inside you!

AEGEE-Warszawa and the European Citizenship Working Group have been working for the last months in order to bring you the ultimate conference: “Citizenship at its Grassroots – European and Polish Perspectives”.

The recent decisions of the Polish government regarding the juridical system, public media and women's rights, added to the related discrepancies between the EU and Poland, are undeniably a hot topic today. They depict the relevance of an efficient and representative rule of law, and ultimately of the importance that democracy plays in our lives as citizens.

It’s time for discussions. It’s time to
have a say. It’s time to travel to Warsaw!

Pack your questions, your concerns, your ideas for change, your notebooks and fall in love with Warsaw while discussing with more than 50 Polish and European young citizens the role that democracy and the rule of law play in our lives.

You will meet high level speakers from all over Europe coming from various backgrounds. In the conference “Citizenship at its Grassroots” different perspectives will come together, in order to ultimately provide its participants with a truly representative assessment of the reality.

The aim of the conference will be to stimulate your duties as European Citizens. It will enable you to reflect on past, current and future fundamental political issues and to learn how to respond to them. You will become a (more) active young European and you will get to learn how to shape the society you live in.

In addition to that, be prepared for getting to discover Warsaw, overwhelming impressions, life-changing conversations and long-lasting friendships.
